River of Refuge

River of Refuge opened 10 transitional housing units in May 2016 to assist and empower Kansas City-metro families as they move from homelessness to self-sufficiency.

reStart

reStart has been helping homeless families since 1987. Today, reStart’s Family Shelter provides for the immediate needs of families, including food and shelter, as well as offering a wide range of support services. This program also offers opportunities for more longer-term transitional housing as families seek to make the transition from homelessness to permanent housing.

Community Linc

Community LINC is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that aims to end family homelessness for this generation and the next. Over the past 30 years, Community LINC has served 4,246 families with 14,000 individuals, including 9,300 children with shelter or programming.

Save

The SAVE Community Campus is comprised of seven residential properties throughout the Midtown Kansas City area with 66 independent units of permanent housing, ranging from studio to three-bedroom apartments.

Sheffield Place

Sheffield Place opened its doors in February 1991 as a community response to the growing population of homeless mothers and their children in the Kansas City area.  Sheffield Place has assisted more than 1200 families in making the difficult journey from homelessness to self-sufficiency.
