Volunteer

We are in this together!

The beating heart of nonprofits and outreach groups, you make a beautiful difference in your community when you volunteer.

Attention Parents/Guardians and Minors:

Children under the age of 16 are not allowed on certain worksites. While minors between the ages of 16 and 18 may be allowed to participate in many types of work, using power tools, excavation, demolition, working on rooftops and similar activities are not permitted for anyone under the age of 18. Cooking, handling hot items, using chemicals, and working in certain hazardous environments are not permitted for anyone under the age of 13. Children under 10 are unable to volunteer at the animal shelter. It is the guardian or parent’s responsibility to communicate these requirements to any of their minors who will attend and/or participate in the activities.

Volunteer Testimonies

I have enjoyed the opportunity to be part of a team with “Volunteer KC” for over a year now. I find that having the many varied charities to assist, and the friends and people who become part of the team the best part, also varied dates and times gives plenty of options to get out and help our community. Making new friends, enjoying productive time together and helping our community is a wonderful thing.

I love volunteering. Volunteering is a two way street. Helping others and others teaching me new things each time. Volunteering is not just you helping others but also what volunteering teaches you.  I have had a blast being able to help others with a great team Volunteer KC. I love that we have a system where we can work together. Teamwork makes the dream work.

Volunteer KC has done more than fill my calendar with incredible volunteer opportunities. It has given me a sense of belonging and purpose. Volunteer KC is more than a group, it is a lifestyle. This lifestyle’s motto is simple. We serve those in need, not to boost our egos, not for likes on social media, but because we are called to seek those who need our help and to give them one of life’s most treasured gifts: a place of loving fellowship and unconditional kindness.
