Trunk-or-Treat for reStart

“reStart's annual Trunk-Or-Treat Event is at Margaret Kemp Park (across the street from our shelter, 918 E 9th Street) on Wednesday, October 30th, 5:30- 7:00 PM. We are looking for around 30 volunteers and their trunks to make this event a success!” Please arrive at 5pm to set-up. Halloween costumes and trunk themes are optional but encouraged 🙂

The Sewing Labs is hosting a Fabric Grab Saturday, September 14th at the gym above The Sewing Labs 526 Campbell St KCMO 64106.

They need your help with setup, during, and cleanup of the event. Sign up below! You can select as many shifts as you would like and what you want to work on! If you have any questions, please email drew@thesewinglabs.org. All volunteers will get their first 4 pounds of fabric free!

For more than 35 years, Kansas City Community Kitchen has served hot, nutritious meals to all who come with no questions asked and at no cost. The kitchen is open every Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., including holidays and during bad weather.

Lunch Shift: 10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Tasks: Food prep, plating, dishwashing, cleaning, sanitizing, serving to-go meals, and serving guests dining in
